Community Involvement
While my internship and coursework have been valuable in shaping my academic and professional development, my service experiences have truly defined my Clemson journey. Community involvement has given me purpose beyond the classroom and helped me grow as a leader, teammate, and neighbor. Below, you can learn about my work and some of my favorite organizations that made this experience so meaningful.
2026 Dre Martin Service Award Recipient
The Dre Martin Service Award is a prestigious honor presented annually by the Clemson University College of Arts and Humanities to an undergraduate student who demonstrates exceptional service to the community, a passion for helping others, and strong academic achievement. This achievement is one of the college's three highest honors and commemorates Chardrevius “Dre” Martin, a dedicated Language and International Health graduate known for his compassion and service record.

Clemson American Red Cross Club
2023 - Present
In Spring 2023, I founded the Clemson American Red Cross Club. As a cofounder and president, I organized meetings, coordinated volunteers, and led campus events like Blood Bowl tabling and CPR training. In 2024, I launched a Rural Veterans Initiative in collaboration with the Anderson VA Clinic, for which I drafted grant proposals, managed project funds and directed volunteer teams. After securing funding from the Dabo's All In Team Foundation, the project resulted in a Military Week awareness movie night and fundraising efforts that provided meals for over 70 veterans and their families.
Every Campus a Refuge
2024 - Present
As a student researcher and volunteer with ECAR at Clemson University, I work closely with resettled refugee communities. I conduct home visits to support families as they adjust to life in the U.S., teach English through weekly childhood literacy classes, and assist in planning globally engaged events on campus, such as Afghanistan in Context. Through this Creative Inquiry project, our student team is also developing an oral history archive to preserve and share the powerful stories of immigration and resettlement within our community.

Clemson Rotaract Club
2023 - Present
As a student volunteer with the Clemson Rotaract Club at Clemson, I’m part of a global network focused on service, leadership, and connection. Each semester, I volunteer with a variety of local partners. Some of my favorite service events have included planting produce at Growing Green Family Farms, supporting roadside cleanups with our local Rotary chapter, cooking meals for those in need, and sorting thrift store merchandise and donations for Miracle Hill Ministries.
